On the outbreaks of violence at the Kenya coast

World without Wars is greatly concerned by the rise in violent activities taking place in the coastal region of Kenya.


5 Africans, 4 Europeans and 3 South Americans to coordinate international matters of World without Wars

Following an election of full members of the international organisation a new coordination team has taken over from the previous team; the first one directly elected by its members.  The new team consists of 5 Africans, 4 Europeans and 3 South Americans from 9 different countries and features 5 women and 7 men.


Rio +20: Disarmament for Sustainable Development

The signatories of Rio+20 "Disarmament for Sustainable Development" appeal demand that the governments of the world seriously address the neglected issue of peace and disarmament, and agree on a global plan for disarmament for sustainable development at the Rio Summit in June 2012. A bread tank with a garden inside will be at Rio+20 to underline the realistic possibility of eradicating hunger and extreme poverty by redirecting military spending.

Regarding the criminalisation of nonviolent protest in Quebec

World without Wars and Violence denounces moves taken by the Quebec Government to make nonviolent protest illegal. 


World without Wars to attend the 2012 NPT PrepCom in Vienna

International humanist organisation World without Wars and Violence will be present at the upcoming NPT Preparatory Committee that will take place from 30 April to 11 May 2012 in Vienna, Austria. The PrepCom and related civil society events will be attended by members of World without Wars and Violence from the Czech Republic.
